III. Preachers will be held accountable for their building on the foundation of the

A. If ministers teach the doctrines of Christ as taught by His apostles (represented by
gold, silver and precious stones) they will be rewarded. V14

B. Ministers who teach mistaken ideas will be saved, but they will lose their reward
for that teaching .V15. Explanation: well- intended, but doesn’t do solid work.

IV. The building is identified as the temple of God. V16
A. The word “temple” here refers to the church and in 1 Corinthians 6:19 refers

B. There is a serious warning in V17.
1. The judgment of God will be on those who harm or corrupt His church.
2. Let us do what we can to protect and advance the church of Christ.
