          A.  If you are a Christian, you should be grateful to Jesus because His resurrection has
                changed your past, present and future.

          B.  What some people think about  Easter:

          C.  As adult Christians we have a greater insight into the resurrection of Jesus. Matthew

      I.  Jesus, because of His resurrection, has changed our past.

          A.  Before becoming a Christian, we were sinners who deserved eternal damnation.

          B.  Christ’s resurrection from the grave defeated sin and death.  Romans 6:

          C.  Having been baptized into the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, sin and death

    II.  The resurrection of Jesus has changed our present condition.

          A.  Our present conditions:  saved (Romans 6:17-18; 1:16-17, 6:3-6); free from condem-
                nation  (Romans 8:1-2, p834); continual cleansing from sin (1John 1:7-9, p899); we
                are investing in eternity. Matthew 6:19-21 (707)

   III.  The resurrection of Jesus has changed our future.
