START AGAIN

          A.  Have you ever been at a time in your life when you were estranged from God?
                1.  You allowed sin to take you farther than you intended, keep you longer than
                     you had planned and cost you more than you wanted to pay.
          B.  Question:  Does this describe your present condition?
          C.  Our lesson is by the title, “Start Again.”  We will us the acrostic, START.

      I.  S-Stop making excuses.
          A.  Some people are prone to blame others.  The blame game has been going on since
                the Garden of Eden.  Genesis 3:9-13

    II.  T-Take advantage of your abilities and interests.

   III.  A-Act

   IV.  R-Refocus
          A.  The definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over expecting different

          B.  A person must refocus starting with his thinking and attitude.  Proverbs 4:23 (488);

          C.  A person must change his/her behavior.

    V.  T-Trust God.
          A.  We can’t do it on our own.  Jeremiah 10:23 (565)

          B.  We must place our trust in God because He is faithful.  Philippians 1:6 (867)
