I. “Blessed are those who mourn”
A. What does it mean to mourn?
1. To express grief or sorrow over the sins in our lives. Romans 3:23;

2. To mourn goes deeper than grief in that it involves repentance.
a. “For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation.”

b. Those who mourn will draw close to God, James 4:8-10 (893)
II. “For they shall be comforted.”
A. Those who let godly sorrow lead them to repentance, which leads to salvation will
be comforted.
1. With the remission of sins. Acts 2:36-39 (802)
