A. We start a series of lessons that deal with glorifying God. John 15:8

1. Fruit is a metaphor for obedience and praise tyo God.
B. A definition of the term ‘glorify’ by Unger’s Dictionary is to ” show forth
His praise.” To glorify God is to acknowledge and declare Who God is.
II. Our lesson focuses on glorifyiny God through our worshipping Him. John 4:

A. One way to look at worship is to think of it as ‘worth-ship’.
1. When we worship God we declare that He is worthy of our worship.

B. God is pleased when our worship is truthful. John 4:24 (781)
1. We don’t determine what worship should be. God is the object of
worship and He should be worshipped as He desires.
C. God is pleased when our worship is spiritual. John 4:24
1. Our spirit should connect with God’s Spirit. It involves doing some-
thing beyond the physical.
D. Our worship must be thoughtful. Mark 12:28-30 (743)

E. Our worship should be sacrificial. Romans 12:1 (837);
