LET’S LIVE THE GOOD LIFE
Introduction
A. Let’s think about living the good life.
1. Living as God would have us and reaping benefits from God.
B. Everyone present, who has reached the age of accountability, can
live the good life.
1. This means that we shouldn’t live for self (Luke 12:16-21, 764)
2. We shouldn’t live to be accepted. Matthew 6:5,16 (706)
3. We must decide to intentionally live as God would have us.
C. Philippians 1:21 (867); John 10:7-15 (789)
D. Let’s focus on three things that are necessary to live the good life.
I. We must know the truth, which is God’s word (John 17:17).

A. One of the most enticing aspects of sin is the promise of freedom.
Eve is an example.
1. Actually sin enslaves us and the truth sets us free from satan’s
bondage
II. We must also understand God’s word as best we can based
on our spiritual growth. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (880)
A. God’s word is: divine (V16), absolute and objective (v16a); Psalm
119:89 (477)
III. We must practice God’s word. James 1:22-25
IV. Some of the results:
A. some of the results: Happiness (Beatitudes), abundant living,
(John 10:10), righteous living (Ro. 12:1-2), eternal life.
Closing: We can live the good life and enjoy the blessings from God.
