SERVING GOD WITH THE PROPER ATTITUDE

I. We should be grateful for the privilege of serving the “Great I Am.”

B. When we consider the sins of which God has forgiven us, shouldn’t we be
privileged to serve God?
II. We should also have a heart to work.
A. Nehemiah led the effort to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, and he and his
helpers demonstrated a heart to work. Nehemiah 2:17-18 (389); Neh. 4:1-6
B. We’ll face difficulties as involve ourselves in the work of God, but we can overcome
them.
III. We should have a welling attitude to obey God.
A. Note Paul’s encouragement to Timothy. 1 Timothy 4:14-16 (877)
B. Let’s not neglect our God given abilities.
IV. We should have a persistent attitude as we serve God.
A. Paul possessed this attitude. Philippians 3:12-15 (868); 2 Timothy 4:6-8 (880)
