A. James warns us of three wrong directions as we face the future.
B. Let’s look at these wrong directions, and then focus on facing the future with God.
I. These people made their plans without God. Vv13,15
A. Their plans included:

A period of time v13
A profit v13
A procedure v13
II. These people were arrogant. Vv13,16
III. These people put off doing good. V17
IV. Facing the future with God:
A. We must make our plans by involving God. V15

3. confidence- Philippians 1:6 (867)
B. We must walk humbly before God. James 4:6-8a, 10
C. We must do good or right without delay. James 4:17,14
Conclusion
A. We don’t know what the future holds, but we do know who holds the future.
B. Go with God and He will do with you.
